Catania Card Holder - Pattern Release!

I'm so excited to be able to release my new Catania Card Holder pattern! This cute little card holder / tiny wallet is super quick and so fun to make! Perfect when you need to whip up a quick gift! It's unisex and perfect for men or women alike. It can be made with the zipper pocket fully lined or without lining, and with or without clear ID card pocket. It's a raw edge pattern made for cork, vinyls, faux or real leather, "Kraft paper"-fabric and similar materials that can have their edges left raw.

The best thing is - its available for FREE for all members of my Facebook Group, feel free to join!

It's available in English and Swedish and has both inch and centimeter measurements, if you wish to buy it instead, it's available here.

It has two card pockets on the front (but I stuff more than one card in each).

You can choose to either make it with an ID card pocket:
Or with a simple back pocket.

You can make it with or without lining, my yellow one here has an adorable Tula Pink Fairy Dust scrap as lining.

It's the perfect little wallet for many of my smaller bag patterns, like this one here in my Singapore Sling Bag.

This gold one is the original one, I made it as a christmas gift for my hubby as he'd begged me for a small, sleek little card holder with room for coins for a long time.  One he could carry in his jean pocket. And I couldn't find a pattern that struck my fancy, so this design was born.

It's made with kraft-tex paper, very fun and easy material to work with for this design. This is the back.

I made myself one out of white glitter vinyl, it's beautiful in real life, but photographs absolutely horrible *lol* It looks so boring, but it's actually pretty IRL =)

My amazing pattern testers were awesome as ever and tested the pattern for me, and just look at all the amazing little card holders that were sewn! A sincere thank you goes out to each and everyone one of you for helping me make each new pattern -  into my best pattern yet!

I'm so very grateful for all your help and hard work!

Pia Jestin - whom can be found here on Instagram made these beautiful, contrast stitched kraft-paper versions, lovely!

And she also made this classic black faux leather version

Margareth Tai - Bags by Mags can be found here on Instagram, made this absolutely stunning glitter cork version! So pretty!

Cheryl Wright Simmerman - of Adarra Handmade who's impressive production I envy, didn't make one or two, but four stunning cork versions, and I love the clever little D-ring tab she added.

Eva Halvarsson - of Borlänge Sycentrum made these two so very cool, but oh so hard to photograph 3D vinyl ones, so lovely!

Anja - whom you can find on instagram here made this pretty natural cork one, with such a sunny lining, so cute!

Annette - made this lovely red vinyl version with white contrast stitching!

Anna Van Berlo - Whom you can find here on Instagram made this pretty and classic faux leather one.

Singapore Sling Bag - Pattern Release!

I've been so EXCITED for today! The Singapore Sling Bag is finally released! And I can't wait to see your version!
The Singapore Sling Bag is the perfect everyday handbag, super stylish and just big enough for all the necessities. It has a zipper pocket in the lining which you turn the bag through, as well as open slip pockets. The gusset free design makes it super easy and quick to sew, you'll easily make it in an afternoon. And if you're like me, you'll be making more than one!

The Singapore Sling Bag pattern has both INCH and CENTIMETER measurements and is available in both English and Swedish HERE.

I love this design soooo much! Literally it's the most ME bag I've ever designed, I think it even wins over the Denver Double Zip Bag as my new favourite everyday bag (and I have over 10 of those for my own personal use, so that's not saying little *lol*).

This bag is sewn with Tula Pink's GORGEOUS Zuma line, the little unicorn seahorses of the "Sea Stallion" print are just so adorable and I love them, they fit so beautifully on the flap! The exterior is a matching cotton solid I quilted and the lining is the "Sea Shells" print from the same line.

The back is simple and smooth.

Here is where the magic happens! This zipper pocket is not your average zipper pocket! It's oh so discreet and is made in a different way to let you avoid the regular zipper openings, which so often for the beginner bag maker can turn out uneven.

Of course there are sea stallions in the zipper pocket lining too!

It's just the perfect size for an everyday bag:
 ~6” (16cm) high, ~9” (23cm) wide and ~2 ½” (6.5cm) deep at the base.

I have a hard time deciding if I prefer the blue or the yellow one, both makes me sooo happy! So once my sewing room is unpacked I'll have to make another one so I have even more difficulties to choose for sure!

~~~~~~~~ ♥ ~~~~~~~~ ♥ ~~~~~~~~
As always, this pattern wouldn't be a reality without my amazing pattern testers making sure everything is absolutely perfect before the release!
Thank you all!  Here are their gorgeous bags.
Tania Chanroux - of Smart Made Designs on Instagram made this breathtaking faux leather and cork version! You can't help but smile when you open this bag I think, such a perfect lining choice!
Noor Rats - Whom can be found here on instagram made this absolutely stunningly beautiful faux leather and cotton Cotton and Steel version!
Pia Jestin - can be found here on Instagram made this classy, beautifully quilted cork and cotton version! Look at those freemotion quilted wood patterns, so stunning!
Annette - Made this absolutely insanely cool faux croc skin version! The choice of a chain strap makes it even edgier and I love it!
Eva Arthursson - made this absolutely gorgeous faux leather and cotton black and turquoise version! Such a classy looking bag.
Cheryl Wright Simmerman - of Adarra Handmade with her usual amazing speed made not one, not two but THREE gorgeous versions! One stunning  quilted cork flamingo one (oh so me!) and one super fancy, pink sequin version and a beautiful, all cotton one - making beautiful use of the Effervescence border fabric!
Becky McCoy - of Simply Memorable Bags made this super pretty, bright and cheery all over quilted cotton version!
Ann-Kristin Kristoffersen - of Kinnas Lappteknik made this insanely sweet suede and cotton version with the most adorable lining!
Marita Tjulander - of Valsanhäxan Syr/Quiltar made this  gorgeous faux leather and suede version! Doesn't it just look so expensive?
Michelle of MEW Designs Australia - whom can be found here on Instagram and  here on Facebook made this super cool gold and blue version! Love the perfectly matched Alison Glass lining!
Anja - whom you can find on instagram here made this stunning cork version, can you believe it was her first time working with cork, and her first time installing a turn lock!? Me neither!
Anette - Made this beautiful denim version, and look at that quilting, soo pretty! She used her embroidery machine for it, I think that was a brilliant move!
Swedish quilters association Rikstäcket's annual meeting and 30th anniversary
I had the pleasure of being invited to release a special pattern especially for the swedish quilters association Rikstäcket's 30th anniversary and annual meeting a little over a week ago. The pattern was kept secret (except for to my amazing pattern testers whom tested and then hid their bags until the release, love you all!) up until the first day of the event and only then revealed to the attendees and the world, including those whom had signed up for the "Secret Bag Class" on the Sunday.
The Beijing Bag was revealed and a special Rikstäcket 30th Anniversary Edition of the paper pattern totally sold out during the event. Thanks everyone who bought it! And I'm so sorry to those whom wasn't able too, I totally hadn't anticipated how appreciated it would be.
We ended up being 17 (!!!) people sewing the Beijing Bag on the Sunday (a few more than I normally allow in my classes) but we still had an amazing time! Such amazing students!
My awesome mother was helping me the entire weekend with the classes, and as we had brought the store with us, dad was working one floor down selling fabrics. We had a great weekend all three of us!
All fabrics, hardware and interfacing is from my parents store: Borlänge Sycentrum
Here are the beautiful, finished Beijing Bags that I managed to photograph. Sadly some were in a bit of a hurry to get home so I didn't manage to take a photo before they had already packed their bags.
Look how great they look with their lovely bags!!
But we didn't just sew Beijing Bags this weekend, we also had a Loule Bag class! In this class we were 10 people, but sadly I didn't manage to photograph all the bags finished as a few had to run and a couple had a few seams left when we had to end the class. Here are their stunning bags!!
Thanks everyone for an AMAZING weekend!! <3
